Through generous donations to Friends of Jones, we're able to invest directly in the people, programs, and experiences that make our Jones community special. Your support helps fund grants for
students, teachers, staff, and clubs, while also making meaningful programming, events, and opportunities possible.
Why Your Support Matters
This year, Jones is facing tighter budgets which means less funding for all the things that make Jones the amazing high school it is.
- 9 staff positions lost
- $62,000 reduction in flexible funding
- 46% drop in Out-of-School Time funding--The budget that keeps the building open and staffed after school, allowing students to participate in sports, clubs, theater, music, and other activities beyond the regular school day.
The Request
This year's
Flying Eagles Annual Fund goal is $400,000, and we need our Jones community behind us to reach it. We believe we can get there with your help and
are asking families to please contribute $350 to the Flying Eagles Annual Fund.
We are asking our Jones community to
help us reach our $400,00 goal by December 31st, 2026, so Friends of Jones can plan ahead and provide critical support where it is needed most throughout the remainder of the school year.
As a special thank you, donors who give $350 or more will receive an exclusive Jones College Prep tumbler (tumblers will be distributed in Jan 2027, after the Annual Fund campaign ends).
How To Participate
Your donation to the Friends of Jones Flying Eagles Annual Fund is 100% tax-deductible and can be made in these easy ways:
- DONATE VIA CREDIT CARD: both one-time and recurring (monthly, quarterly, annually) donation options are available. While our goal is for each Jones family to donate $350, this can be done as a one-time donation, or broken down into a recurring donation of just $30/month.
- SEND A CHECK: mail checks
payable to Friends of Jones, along with a
Donation Form, to: Jones College Prep, ATTN: Annual Fund, 700 South State Street, Chicago, IL 60605
- DONATE SECURITIES, STOCKS OR VIA A CHARITABLE GIVING FUND: You may donate to Friends of Jones from your Charitable Giving Fund by contacting the fund and asking to designate FOJ as a donation recipient or log in to your Giving Account and enter FOJ (Tax ID #36-4417670).
