WHAT IS FRIENDS OF JONES?
Friends of Jones is the parent and guardian-run, non-profit organization, that supports Jones College Prep as an institution of academic excellence. The Friends of Jones mission is to build community, engage volunteers and raise funds to support the many outstanding opportunities at Jones with a focus on the development and experiences of the “whole” student.

Through the generous donations to Friends of Jones, we are able to support programming, events and grants that benefit our entire Jones community and help support the “whole student” experience. FOJ grants funds that help support students, teachers, staff, and clubs. We also provides more than 1,500 volunteer hours and supports countless community building events.

Jones faces unique funding challenges, receiving less district and federal funding than nearly every other selective enrollment high school in Chicago. Recent cuts have ended crucial support for student programs - programs that kept doors open late for theater, robotics, chess, sports, and more. Now, it’s up to our community to fill the gap.
